For me, I was raised in a very gender neutral environment. I was not raised to think of myself as a girl, and this is a boy, and this is what you’re allowed to do because you’re like this. And all of a sudden, I’m in a world where you are allowed to do only so much because you are in fact, a girl. It’s like a daily weird punishment for being a female.
